Yes, there are swallows at Swallow Cove. But, there are also plenty of osprey, and blue jays, and turkey buzzards . . . not to mention deer, raccoons, and other interesting wildlife. All of which can be observed from the high deck at this special vacation getaway, soaring above a tree lined meadow full of grasses. rippling in the Pacific breeze.
Swallow Cove is located in the very private, totally peaceful Indian Shoals neighborhood, between Mendocino and Caspar. The area provides a warm sunny climate in the summer . . . and, impressive ocean storms in the winter . . . along with clear views of Gray Whales as they migrate back and forth between December and March.
Attractions close to Swallow Cove include the Point Cabrillo Light House, Russian Gulch State Park, and (of course) the historic Victorian Village of Mendocino, just four minutes to the south.
