“In my art, if I capture ‘that moment’ when the dog makes me smile, then I am satisfied. This show is meant to delight and be FUN.” - Rebecca Deerwater
Her papier mache dog show is certainly fun. It is currently delighting visitors (including this local author) at the Mendocino Art Center. The exhibit ends August 31st, 2008.
Most of the life-like dogs have already been “adopted” as evidenced by all the red tags on the signs. Each and everyone made me smile and smile. Coincidentally, I had a favorite but he was also spoken for. Luckily for me though, I am already blessed with his real live doggie-double at home.
